Global logistics business, Yusen Logistics (UK) awards cloud hosted Purchase to Pay automation contract to Documation.
Yusen Logistics (UK) provides expertise in air freight forwarding, ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics and origin cargo management as well as providing an extensive range of general logistics services. Their infrastructure and company culture has been developed to support and cultivate a ‘can do’ approach to offering supply chain solutions within a broad range of market sectors including consumer electronics, technology, healthcare, automotive, aerospace, industrial and food industries and services.
Documation’s Purchase to Pay solution automates the purchasing and accounts payable processes across two business entities and includes intelligent data capture of invoice data, PO and non-PO workflow with 2 & 3 way matching, the ability to integrate with additional purchasing systems, posting invoices to CODA and Business Intelligence with Power BI reporting.
Yusen Logistics was looking to:
- Reduce manual effort across several teams
- Reduce the average time taken to process and pay an invoice
- Have increased control and visibility of spend
- Improve cash flow forecasting
- Have greater control of procurement and approval processes
Utilising Power BI reporting means that the Yusen team will have real-time visibility of spend and be able to identify at an early stage any potential bottle necks or issues. The Documation supplier portal will give Yusen’s suppliers visibility of invoice statuses and will allow queries to be resolved between Yusen Logistics and their suppliers leading to better relationships. With the mobile approver app available to the wider business, reviews and approvals will not be subject to delays and can be made via the app, on the go.
Ultimately Yusen are looking to improve the team working environment and lower operating costs. Documation’s solution will provide all this and more.
When asked why Documation were selected as the chosen solution provider Craig Tellwright, Head of Financial Services said;
‘’We reviewed a number of potential suppliers as we wanted to select a best-in-class product provided by committed supplier. Documation stood out from the start with an excellent P2P solution but also the confidence and experience to deliver what we needed. As such Documation were an excellent choice.’’
The project is due to go live Q1 2022.
