Global independent convenience retailer, EG Group awards AP automation contract to Documation!
EG Corporate Services is a British operator of filling stations, convenience stores and food service providers across Europe, the United States and Australia. They have a global network of over 6,000 accessible sites across ten countries.
EG Group were looking for a solution to streamline their accounts payable (AP) processes by automating a high volume of invoices. The project goal was to have a centralised solution which seamlessly integrated into one finance system, SAP. Additionally, they wanted to have a clear audit trail and visibility of all of their Non PO invoices and provide key metrics on invoice processing.
After looking at many solution providers and conducting the necessary due diligence based on their success criteria, EG Group chose Documation as their preferred partner. The decision was influenced by the level of engagement and customer service received by the team.

Having started this project in October 2024, and now being live 4 months later with our first five entities is an absolute testament to all involved and a game-changer for EG Group in the way we manage our invoice approvals through to payment, with transparency and control.
It’s been a challenging journey, but it shows by having the right collaboration between Finance, IT, Operations, and a solution provider who brings depth of market experience and knowledge to the table, anything is achievable.
We set ourselves some very tight timeframes, and going live with our first five interfaces into SAP is a success we should all be very proud of – we are already seeing the benefits.

Documation’s AP automation solution was the perfect fit for EG Group. They have now implemented an efficient, automated payment process, providing full visibility and control over their invoice-related data. By utilising the AP dashboard and reporting tools, EG Group has gained greater transparency and efficiency across Finance and Operations.
EG Group celebrated their go-live in the office last week with some Documation branded items!
This project is a true testament to the hard work and collaboration between EG Group and Documation. They will both continue to work closely on the phase 2 stage of the project and look towards automating new processes.
